The ICAI Michigan Chapter (USA) was pleased to host the “Unite in America – Regional Meet & Networking Forum” full day event on September 12, 2026, in collaboration with the ICAI Ohio (USA) Chapter. 🤝
👥 The event brought together Chartered Accountants, CPAs, accounting and finance professionals, entrepreneurs, and senior executives for a day of meaningful networking, knowledge sharing, and professional engagement.
🌟 We were honored to welcome CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, Immediate Past President (2025–2026) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, whose presence made the occasion especially meaningful. In his keynote, he spoke about the growing importance of integrating AI into professional practice, the evolving global business landscape, and the opportunities ahead for young professionals.
🎤 Key Highlights · Cross border transfer pricing - Kulvinder Makkar and Tanmay Garg from International Tax Advisors shared practical insights into transfer pricing and cross-border business operations.
· USA – Mexico: The Maquiladora Advantage - Miah Haddock from Angstrom Electric provided an overview of the tax and compliance considerations for U.S. manufacturers operating in Mexico.
· Evergreen strategies for long term investors - Kam(Kamlesh) Shah from Edward Jones shared perspectives on sustainable investing and navigating changing market cycles.
· Government accounting and opportunities - Yogesh Gusani, CPA, CITP gave attendees an introduction to government accounting and the professional opportunities available in this area.
